4-17-18: PHOENIX VOTES TO CHANGE MAIN STREET BACK TO TWO LANES.

THE PHOENIX CITY COUNCIL HAS VOTED TO CHANGE THE AREA OF HIGHWAY 99 IN DOWNTOWN FROM ONE LANE, BACK TO TWO. THE IDEA WAS TO ATTRACT MORE PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS TO DOWNTOWN PHOENIX. NEW PLANS WILL BRING BACK TWO LANES, WITH BIKE LANES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET WITH PARKING ON JUST ONE SIDE. ANY CHANGES MAY TAKE A YEAR OR SO TO BEGIN.
