THE PROPOSAL FOR A NEW JACKSON COUNTY JAIL HAS BEEN POSTPONED IN ASHLAND. THE CITY COUNCIL WAS SUPPOSED TO VOTE ON IT LAST NIGHT, BUT ONE COUNCIL MEMBER ASKED THAT THE VOTE BE DELAYED. THOUGH, EACH MONTH THE PROJECT IS DELAYED, THE COST GOES UP, SAYS COUNCIL MEMBER RICH ROSENTHAL. THE COUNCIL IS EXPECTED TO VOTE ON THE PROPOSAL ON NOVEMBER 19TH.
