STATE FORESTER PETER DAUGHERTY TELLS THE BOARD OF FORESTRY THE CLOCK IS TICKING, AS HIS AGENCY HAS ALREADY SPENT 80 PERCENT OF ITS BUDGET. DAUGHERTY ADDS THAT AN OUTSIDE FIRM IS WORKING TO HELP FORESTRY COLLECT ON MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF UNPAID INVOICES FROM PAST WILDFIRE SEASONS.
