The Medford City Council is expressing concerns about a proposed casino. The Coquille Indian tribe recently purchased the former Kim's restaurant building and neighboring Roxy Ann Lanes in the hopes of building a casino along South Pacific Highway. The council believes that details provided by the tribe have been somewhat vague. That concern is addressed in a letter that will be sent Kevin Washburn, the assistant secretary of the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs. The federal government will have the final say.
