A former psychiatrist for Jackson County was in court yesterday, accused of string cord across mountain bike trails outside of Ashland and endgangering riders. Jackson Dempsey pleaded guilty to assault and reckless endangerment charges. Three riders were injured on the bike trails. Dempsey apologized to his victims in court yesterday, and was then sentenced to 30 days in jail and two years of probation. He will also have to pay restitution.
