Medford Police have arrested a serial bank robber after they say he was about to rob US Bank on North Phoenix Road for a third time. Detectives say 30-year-old Christopher Ryan Wood of Medford was in line at the bank when tellers recognized him from the previous robberies. They tripped a silent alarm and attempted to stall to prevent him from leaving. Wood grew nervous and fled, but police were waiting for him after previously staking out possible escape routes. Wood is also suspected in two robberies at Sterling Savings Bank on Stewart Avenue.
