Fire crews rushed to a home on Grand Avenue in Central Point yesterday morning. Three engines from from Fire District No. 3 arrived within three minutes to find smoke pouring the house. The homeowners were able to escape safely. Investigators say the fire was mostly contained to a bedroom where it started, but smoke damaged most of the rest of the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
