Last week, Medford Police were dispatched to Rogue Regional Medical Center for a fraud report that occured in early October. A hospital employee told police on October 5 that a man dressed as a U.S. Marshal said he was transporting a prisoner which caused him anxiety. The man obtained services, but never paid the $1,000 bill. Last week, a hospital employee was looking up online jail photographs and found the suspect, who had been lodged in the Jackson County Jail on unrelated charges. The suspect was identified as 42-year-old Donald Lee Anderson, Jr., a convicted felon and a well-known scam artist. A search of Anderson's home turned up body armor and a Marshal's uniform. Police are unsure how he obtained the items.
