12-18-12 SNOW CREATES TREACHEROUS CONDITIONS IN JACKSON COUNTY

The snow is continuing to fall in the Rogue Valley, making roadways treacherous. Virutally every school in Jackson County is closed for the day. The National Weather Service says about an inch of snow fell in Medford this morning, with more on the way. Up to three inches are possible for elevations above 1,500 feet. Three more inches are expected for the Siskiyou Summit. Crater Lake could see an additional seven inches. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is urging motorists to stay off the roads today. Numerous accidents have been reported throughout the valley.
