A new study reveals that Jackson County is one of the greenest counties in the state. According to the DEQ, Jackson County ranks ninth best out of Oregon's 36 counties when it comes to recycling. In 2009, the state legislature set a goal to recover at least 40 percent of waste. Jackson County has exceeded that goal.
