Medford Police and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon are trying to locate convicted felon and wanted subject Jason Edward Herbert and wanted subject Shannon Dawn Atwood.
In July 2012, Medford Police responded to a local grocery store where security officers were fighting with two shoplifters who had been stealing cartons of cigarettes over a period of several weeks. Because neither Herbert or Atwood appeared in court for the charges, warrants were issued.
There are two outstanding felony warrants for Jason Herbert, held by the Medford Police Department, for Fail to Appear on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance/Methamphetamine, Theft in the Third Degree, Theft in the First Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Theft in the First Degree with a total bail of $15,000. There is also an outstanding felony warrant, held by the Medford Police Department, for Fail to Appear on the charges of Theft in the First Degree and Conspiracy, bail $5,000.
Herbert is described as a 37 year old white male adult, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. His numerous tattoos include a "rage" face with a bone in the nose on his upper right arm, a clown face on the back of his left leg, a shamrock with the words "Lucky" on his chest and the word "Jay" on his upper left arm. Herbert may be using the aliases of David Edward Burns or Al Farmer. The photo shown here, dated July 2012, is the most recent photo available.
Atwood is described as a 37 year old white female adult, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 138 pounds with red hair and brown eyes. She has a rose and butterfly tattoo on her left shoulder, the letters "CNS" tattooed on her right ankle and has a pierced abdomen and pierced ears.
