09-12-2012 WAL-MART SHOPLIFTING TURNS INTO FIGHT/ROBBERY

In the early evening hours of Monday, September 3, 2012, Medford Police department was dispatched to Wal-Mart, 1360 Center Dr, for a report of theft.   Wal-Mart reported that two females and two males were concealing items inside a black purse that one of the females had in her possession. 

 

 

 

 

Security tried to stop the female that was carrying the purse as she passed through the first set of doors but the suspect started to pull away and fought to keep the purse.  The second female tried to intervene but the security officer was able to finally pry the purse away.  Because of the injury to the security officer, the case became a Robbery in the Third Degree. 

During this altercation, the two male suspects exited the store and met up with the females near the west side of the parking lot in a late 1990’s-early 2000 white Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The first female suspect is described as a Hispanic female in her late teens or early twenties, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds with long brown hair and wearing a black and white strapless shirt and blue or gray jeans.    The second female suspect is described as a Hispanic female in her late teens or early twenties, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds with short brown hair and wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and possibly knee-high boots.

Mercedes-Benz of Medford will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and the filing of charges, and you can remain anonymous.
