The Jacksonville City Council has approved the town's budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The budget is up $95,000 from the current one. Property owners in the city will be assessed at a rate of $1.84 per $1,000 of valuation. That's the maximum allowed under Oregon law and the same rate as last year. The city has 22 fulltime and two parttime employees, and no new hires are planned.
