Late last week, Medford Police were dispatched to the Ramada Inn for a female who was being held at gunpoint in a motel room. Upon arrival, police learned that the suspects had fled. The 22-year-old victim had allowed a male not known to her to enter her room. The man produced a handgun and ordered her to call her boyfriend, who he knew, and bring an undisclosed amount of cash or the victim would be hurt. After a traffic stop, three suspects were taken into custody. 59-year-old Edward Lamar Ray, and two accomplices, Ronnie Lee Kyles and Melissa Beth Cranmer were arrested on robbery and kidnapping charges.
