Christmas tree permits will be available on Monday for those wishing to find their own tree in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest or the U.S. Bureau of Land Managament's Medford District. Approximately 8,000 permits are sold each year. Christmas tree cutting is not permitted in wilderness areas, campgrounds, national monuments and other designated areas. The permits cost $5.00.
