You might be interested in learning about our upcoming symposium, Winter Dreams-Summer Gardens, coming up on Saturday, November 3rd at the SOU Higher Education Center in downtown Medford.
If you have previously heard about this symposium, but have never actually been to one, you may not appreciate the opportunity the day offers to anyone who enjoys gardening. Once again we will have outstanding speakers presenting on forty diverse aspects of gardening. Talks will be grouped into two morning and two afternoon sessions; for most, the challenge is to decide which four out of the forty you will choose to attend.
Registration for the symposium ($40, or $20 for full time students) includes lunch onsite - which means you will have time during the mid-day break to socialize and network with other gardeners. (Don’t forget, parking is free on Saturdays!)
If you are new to this area, you might be interested in “Growing Roses in the Rogue Valley” or “A Year in the Life of a Locavore”.
If you are concerned about the impact of climate changes, “A Future Rogue Climate: Mastergardening for the Change” will be offered.
If you plan to grow your own food next year, you may choose among five or six offerings related to home vegetable gardening.
… and the list goes on. I hope you choose to join us for a day of Dreaming!
