3-19-18: SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY INCREASES TUITION.

SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY INCREASED ITS TUITION ON FRIDAY.

THE MAIL TRIBUNE SAYS THAT RESDIENT UNDERGRADS WILL NOW PAY AN ADDITIONAL 4.22% ($172 PER CREDIT), WHILE RESIDENT GRADS WILL SEE AN INCREASE OF 2.14% ($430 PER CREDIT). NON-RESIDENT UNDERGRADS WILL NOW PAY 3.95% ($596 PER CREDIT), AND NON-RESIDENT GRADS WILL PAY 2.09% ($538 PER CREDIT. THE FIGURES ARE FOR ONE CREDIT FOR ONE TERM.

THE INCREASES WILL GO TOWARD THINGS LIKE RISING MEDICAL, LABOR AND RETIREMENT BENEFIT COSTS. FRIDAY’S VOTE BY SOU’S BOARD OF TRUSTEES WAS UNANIMOUS.
