12-28-16: SURVEY SAYS ASHLAND HIGH SCHOOL SAFER THAN MOST.

DESPITE ACCUSATIONS ASHLAND HIGH  SCHOOL IS SAFER ON AVERAGE THAN MANY IN THE REST OF THE STATE, ACCORDING TO THE 2015 RESULTS OF THE OREGON HEALTHY TEEN SURVEY. THE SURVEY RESULTS SHOWED THAT ASHLAND JUNIORS WERE LESS LIKELY TO HAVE BEEN RAPED, HIT BY A BOY OR GIRLFRIEND AND LESS LIKELY TO BE BULLIED THAN STUDENTS FROM OTHER DISTRICTS. MORE THAN 85 PERCENT OF STUDENTS SAY THEY HAD NEVER BEEN BULLIED, COMPARED TO THE STATE AVERAGE OF 80 PERCENT.
