01-23-17: FIRE LEAVES AT LEAST 20 HOMELESS.

AT LEAST 20 PHOENIX RESIDENTS ARE WITHOUT A HOME, AFTER A FIRE AT AN APARTMENT COMPLEX. CREWS FROM JACKSON COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT FIVE, MEDFORD, AND ASHLAND FIRE RESPONDED TO THE 43-HUNDRED BLOCK OF OF SOUTH PACIFIC HIGHWAY AROUND 1:30 SATURDAY. THE FIRE WAS CONTAINED TO ONE UNIT IN THE COMPLEX… AND NO ONE WAS INJURED. RED CROSS IS HELPING THE RESIDENTS. THE CAUSE IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION, BUT FIRE OFFICIALS BELIEVE IT WAS ACCIDENTAL.
