THE CITY OF GRANTS PASS IS LOOKING INTO ANOTHER PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT. THIS ONE COULD COST UPWARDS OF 15 MILLION DOLLARS. THE IDEA HAS BEEN IN EFFECT SINCE THE CITY TOOK IN THE REDWOODS DISTRICT, WHICH HAS BEEN GROWING. THE UPGRADES ARE NEEDED TO KEEP TREATED WASTEWATER FROM FLOWING INTO THE ROGUE RIVER AS THE DARNIELLE PUMP STATION CAN’T ALWAYS KEEP UP. STUDIES FOR THE PROJECT WILL BEGIN IN OCTOBER.
