AN ISSUE WAS PUT ON TO THE NOVEMBER 5TH BALLOT BY THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS YESTERDAY. COUNTY VOTERS WILL GET TO DECIDE IF THEY’D LIKE 28 MILLION DOLLARS TO FUND AN UPGRADE OF EQUIPMENT AT THE 911 DISPATCH CENTER. QUITE A BIT OF THE CENTER’S TECHNOLOGY IS OUTDATED, AND HARD TO FIND REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR. IT WOULD BE A MOVE FROM ANALOG TO DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY.
