GOVERNOR KATE BROWN PUT THE PEN TO THE PAPER YESTERDAY, AND SIGNED A BILL INTO LAW, THAT WOULD SEE OREGON JOIN A COMPACT OF STATES THAT WANT TO AWARD ALL OF THEIR RESPECTIVE ELECTORAL VOTES IN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, TO THE WINNER OF THE NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE. HOWEVER, THE LAW WILL NOT TAKE EFFECT, UNTIL ENOUGH STATES JOIN THE COMPACT TO TOTAL 270 ELECTORAL VOTES.
