IN THE TRIAL OF A FORMER KLAMATH COUNTY SHERIFF, TWO DEPUTIES HAVE TESTIFIED THAT THE EVENTS THAT THEY SAW, DID NOT MEET THE STANDARDS NECESSARY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT TO USE FORCE. FORMER SHERIFF FRANK SKRAH IS ACCUSED OF USING EXCESSIVE FORCE, AND IS FACING MISDEMEANOR CHARGES INCLUDING ATTEMPTED ASSAULT, STRANGULATION, HARASSMENT AND OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT. HE FACES UP TO A YEAR IN JAIL IF CONVICTED. WE’VE LEARNED THAT THE PROSECUTION HAS RESTED. THE TRIAL IS EXPECTED TO LAST UP UNTIL TOMORROW.
