DEPUTIES FROM THE JOSEPHINE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, PLACED INTO CUSTODY, A MARIJUANA TRIMMER, WHO IS ACCUSED OF POSSESSING A STOLEN FIREARM. DEPUTIES MADE THE TRAFFIC STOP WEDNESDAY, AROUND 1:40PM IN THE 100 BLOCK OF HOGUE DRIVE IN SELMA. THE FIREARM IN QUESTION WAS A SMITH & WESSON .38 CALIBER HANDGUN, WHICH THE SUSPECT CLAIMED WAS GIVEN TO HIM IN EXCHANGE FOR TRIMMING POT PLANTS. THE DRIVER WAS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE THEFT AND UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM.
