DISCUSSIONS FOR RULES TOWARD A NEW DEER CONTROL PILOT PROGRAM, ARE SET TO BEGIN WITH THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE. THE OREGON LEGISLATURE DID PASS A BILL, LAST YEAR, WHICH CALLS FOR SUCH A PROGRAM. HOWEVER, CITIES WITH HIGH DEER POPULATIONS, SUCH AS ASHLAND AND JACKSONVILLE, WOULD HAVE TO DECIDE JUST HOW THE DEER WOULD BE DEALT WITH, WHETHER WITH FIREARMS, OR BY CATCHING AND RELOCATING THEM.
