THE VOTE WILL COME IN JANUARY, ON WHETHER OR NOT TO START AND END SCHOOL A WEEK EARLIER NEXT YEAR. THE MEDFORD SCHOOL BOARD WILL VOTE ON THE PROPOSAL ON JANUARY 8TH. THE MAIL TRIBUNE SAYS THAT THE PROPOSAL WOULD SHIFT THE 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR, WITH KIDS STARTING SCHOOL IN THE LAST WEEK OF AUGUST, AND FINISH UP AFTER THE FIRST WEEK OF JUNE. THE NUMBER OF INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS WOULD BE THE SAME AS THIS YEAR, WITH 175 DAYS.
